Factoring Out G.C.F. as First Step

Lesson Description

Students learn that the first step in all factoring problems is to check to see if a Greatest Common Factor can be factored out of the original polynomial. The problems in this lesson combine the following types of factoring: factoring out the Greatest Common Factor, factoring trinomials, and factoring the difference of two squares.
