Lesson Description - Graphing within a Given Domain:

This lesson covers the idea of graphing within a given domain. Students learn to graph a given equation within a given domain. For example, if we’re given the equation y = -x – 1 with a domain of {-6, -1, 1, 3}, and we’re asked to find the range, we substitute each of the elements of the domain into the equation for x, then find the corresponding values for y. Once all of the values of y have been found, the next step is to graph the equation on a coordinate system by pairing up the corresponding values of x and y and plotting the resulting points.
