Lesson Description - Solving Quadratic Equations:

This lesson covers the idea of solving quadratic equations. Students learn that the first step to solving polynomial equations is to set the given equation equal to zero, and the next step is to factor. However, when factoring, always check for a Greatest Common Factor. If the Greatest Common Factor is a number, divide both sides of the equation by the number. If the Greatest Common Factor contains a variable, factor it out, because the variable that factors out will provide another solution to the equation.
