Lesson Description - Equation of a Line:
This lesson covers the idea of equation of a line. Students learn to write the equation of a line given two points on the line, by first finding the slope of the line using the slope formula, m = (y2 y1)/(x2 x1), then substituting the slope and one of the given points into the point-slope formula, y y1 = m(x x1). Note that x-intercepts and y-intercepts are points. For example, an x-intercept of 2 is the point (2, 0) and a y-intercept of 2 is (0, 2).
