Pre-Algebra: Lesson 079

One-Step Equations
Addition Equations

Lesson Description

Students learn to solve one-step addition equations. For example, to solve a + 2 = 7, subtract 2 from both sides of the equation, to get a = 5. Next, check the solution by substituting a 5 back into the original equation, to get (5) + 2 = 7, which is a true statement, so the solution checks.
