This lesson covers the idea of area of a triangle. Students learn that the formula for the area of a triangle is 1/2 times base times height, so the area of a triangle that has a base of 9 meters and a height of 4 meters is 1/2 times 9 times 4, or 1/2 times 36, or 18 square meters.
