Students learn the following multiplication properties: the commutative property of multiplication, which states that a x b = b x a, the associative property of multiplication, which states that (a x b) x c = a x (b x c), the identity property of multiplication, which states that a x 1 = a, and the zero property of multiplication, which states that a x 0 = 0.
