Lesson Description - Divisibility Rules:
This lesson covers the idea of divisibility rules. Students learn that a number is divisible by another if the first number can be divided by the second number without a remainder. For example, 14 is divisible by 7 because 14 can be divided by 7 without a remainder. Students also learn to use the following divisibility rules. A number is divisible by 2 if the number is even. A number is divisible by 3 if the sum of the digits is divisible by 3. A number is divisible by 5 if the units digit is 0 or 5. A number is divisible by 6 if the number is divisible by both 2 and 3. A number is divisible by 9 if the sum of the digits is divisible by 9. And a number is divisible by 10 if the units digit is 0. Watch the free video above to learn more about divisibility rules.
