Lesson Description - Equation Writing:

This lesson covers the idea of equation writing. Students learn to write and solve equations, using the following key words: sum (addition), difference (subtraction), product (multiplication), quotient (division), more than (addition), and less than (subtraction). For example, if the sum of y and 22 is 97, the equation can be written as y + 22 = 97, and to solve the equation, subtract 22 from both sides, to get y = 75.
