Patterns with Fractions, Decimals, and Integers

Lesson Description

Students learn to find the next three numbers in patterns with fractions, decimals, or integers. For example, to find the next three numbers in the pattern 5.2, 4.4, 3.6, 2.8, __, __, __, notice that each number is 0.8 less than the number before it, so the next three numbers in the pattern are 2.8 - 0.8, or 2, 2 - 0.8, or 1.2, and 1.2 - 0.8, or 0.4.
