Lesson Description - Math Probability:
This lesson covers the idea of math probability. Students learn that probability is the likelihood that a given event will happen, and probability can be found using the following ratio: (number of favorable outcomes) / (number of total outcomes). For example, the probability that the flip of a coin will come up heads is: (1 favorable outcome) / (2 possible outcomes), or 1/2. Note that probability can be written as a fraction (1/2), a decimal (0.5) or a percent (50%). Watch the free video above to learn more about math probability.
