Lesson Description - Multiplying and Dividing Integers:
This lesson covers the idea of multiplying and dividing integers. Students learn to multiply integers using the following rules. A positive times a positive equals a positive. For example, +3 x +5 = +15. A positive times a negative equals a negative. For example, +3 x -5 = -15. A negative times a positive equals a negative. For example, -3 x +5 = -15. And a negative times a negative equals a positive. For example, -3 x -5 = +15. In other words, if the signs are the same, the product is positive, and if the signs are different, the product is negative.
