Patterns with Whole Numbers

Lesson Description

Students learn to find the next three numbers in patterns with whole numbers. For example, to find the next three numbers in the pattern 1, 5, 9, 13, __, __, __, notice that each number is 4 more than the number before it, so the next three numbers in the pattern are 13 + 4, or 17, 17 + 4, or 21, and 21 + 4, or 25.
